I chose this song because it’s one of my favourites. It’s about a person who is in love and how that feels. Everyone who has been in love knows how it is, through the good and the bad. The song describes how love can turn your life up side down and how intimidated you can get. It’s not always that the person that you love, loves you back and that could be very painful for everyone. Sometimes it is better to let things be unsaid, because the truth hurts .The girl in the text is extremely in loved with a boy, but she doesn’t have the courage to tell it to him. Instead she’s dreaming of him and knows she is in love. When people are in love they do silly and dumb things, sometimes our clumsiness takes over. We get really nervous and ends up being someone else we’re not. That’s a pity actually because I think if the person that you love doesn’t like you for who you are, that person isn’t worth it. Real love is based on truth and honesty and that’s a must in a relationship.

 

“I try” is a happy, cheerful song from the album How life is (1999), and I think this is a song people can relate to and recognize things that happens in our daily lives and not just a song without a meaning. Macy got a unique and demanding voice that isn’t very common in the music industry. Some say she sounds like Donald Duck, but I think her voice brings variation when I hear her on the radio. Her voice is one of those that you either absolutely like or absolutely hate. There’s really no middle of the road. I can’t say I’m so familiar with all her music, but I’ve heard some of her songs and what I have heard so far I’m satisfied. The category for Grays music is R&B and soul mixed with pop, a great combination. If you are a romantic person (maybe in love) and want to get in a good mood, “I try” is a great song for doing that.
